Warbird Information Exchange

My buddy and I were on a motorcycle roadtrip through montana last weekend. There is a little musuem right on the hwy that looked pretty cool so I stopped to snap a couple of photos. Its located in Polson Montana which is right on the shore of Flathead lake. They were closed but looking through the fence I was able to see a ton of military vehicles and other junk there as well. I could see an early F4 Phantom cockpit section and another that I couldn't quite make out. Unfortunately I couldn't get photos of them. Almost forgot, he had a lineup of different aircraft engines both radial and jet. I wonder what was lurking in all the buildings.

There use to be a nice small museum at Malmstrom AFB on the outskirts of Great Falls, Mont. including a number of aircraft parked outside. It was on the base but open to visitors via a pass acquired at the main gate.

Too bad you didn't get to go inside. I was just there and they have a LOT of really cool stuff, some restored most not. There is a great motorcycle collection including a pristine Harley XA and an Indian shaft drive V twin (like a Moto Guzzi) military bike plus a lot of really cool early bikes. Lot of military vehicles and stuff from all the wars. Also a colletion of just about everything under the sun. Cars, toys, guns, household stuff anything and everything. I could spend a couple of days in there. Talked awhile with Gill the owner and will get the personal tour the next time I'm in town. Don

Hey fellas...does that museum have a name? Website? Maybe Mr Henninger could point us in the right direction?
