Hi everyone,

I'm completely elated tonight. I got to sit in my very first P-51 about two hours ago. I started volunteering at EAA, and got to sit in Paul I, as well as got to help make some tailwheel steering cables for it.

I know it isn't much, but it's a start...

I'll see if I can get permission to post some photos of Aluminum Overcast when she's back for her next round of inspections in a couple weeks.

Hope all is well

Chris Ott

Congratulations, hopefully it's the start of a long career.

Hi Chris. I don't know if we have met (perhaps at the WIX Gathering at my place during AirVenture?), but welcome to the team! I work over at the museum running the Timeless Voices of Aviation oral history program and working as assistant to the curator.

Do you live here in Oshkosh or nearby? We should hit a pub after work sometime...

Again, welcome to the EAA team!

Zack

You'll never know what you have started. My first experiance was with the B17 " Chuckie". I started working on it and decided to go to A&P school. I started restoring as a hobby. Then turned it in to a career. Be very careful, you could be next. :)
