Here are a few of the jets I take photo's of while I was stationed at Minot from 1963 to 1966. The B-52 is still flying at Barksdale AFB.

Hey Jim, thanx for the photos! Why not Minot? Freezin is the reason

I too was stationed there, but a little after you (1982-1983). Was always a thrill to be sittin in the guard shack in front of the alert 106 hanger, have the klaxon go off and watch the fellas go screamin out of there! My very first day at Minot, I was posted out to walk the fenceline behind the B-52 maintenance ramp...with the windchill reaching down into the minus 50s! WHOOOEE...glad those days are gone!

You know what they USED to say? "SAC Sucks!"

I had a klaxon right over my desk when I worked in OPs/Plans (DOX). Loved the daily test @ 2pm! I miss those days, well kinda!

ex-SACer.
