When I was on my way home from the VFM hangar at Meacham Field (KFTW) Saturday evening at about 19:30 hours, I spotted a P-51D sitting out on one of the FBO ramps. It had OD green paint on the tail group and the rear half of the fuselage, sweeping upward toward the cockpit, and the squadron codes CY-C. I know I've seen that one before. Was it Gunfighter II? I only got a brief look since it was quite a distance back off of the road and I was zooming by at 50 MPH, in a hurry to meet Kinikia at a car show about 30 miles away. I was just wondering whose Mustang it is and what it's doing at Meacham (and why they didn't taxi on down to Hangar 33S and pay us a visit!). I know I've seen that ship before. . .
I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Cheers!

Yes, that'd be General U. and Gunfighter, although the markings are CY-U.
Says he's not scheduled for anything other than AirSho, so no clue as to why he was at Meacham.

I notice Gunfighter is also booked for GML in Columbus the same weekend. How are they going to sort that one out?
