as I recall this is a congolmeration of about 3 or 4 airframes - and as the photos bear out, there is a reason it has not sold in a long time.

having said that, if the price was right it would be a nice long term project

I too thought this was the Urbana project.
That website hasn't been touched in years,
so it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm pretty sure this is the Urbana, OH project.

The forward fuselage sections sure look like one of the old damaged hulks shown in Scott Thompson's book on B-17 Survivors. I thought Kermit Weeks had bought all those parts, but it's possible they've been sold or someone else acquired them.

Hello,
This might be sort of silly to my inexperieced eye, but the area those pictures were taken, look nothing like Urbana. I will try to fly up there this week and check on it. BTW the Urbana Airport (Grimes Field) has the best pie around.

Those pictures were at Aero Trader's "stockpile" yard in Anza.

Okay I just looked at the pics again from Urbana site and you and see the same wing.

What we are saying is that this is the project before the guys in Urbana got it.

This site: http://www.warbirdrelics.com/b-17.htm hasn't been updated.

I called Dave at Urbana, and he confirmed
that it is their project.
