Warbird Information Exchange

I just finished reading "Cheating Death", a book about the Skyraider in use in Vietnam and Laos as a strike and "Sandy" aircraft. In the book, the auther originally describes the A/C as having a Wright Cyclone, which is what I've always thought. However, later in the book, and on several occasions, the engine is referred to as a P&W. So, my question is, was the Sdyraider ever fitted with a P&W, or is this a mis-speak on the author's part?

Clearly mis-speak.
I am unaware of any thing other than a 3350 pulling them arouns.
I do believe the prototype flew with Corsair landing gear.
Different subject though.

I read the book as well and think it is a misprint. I have never seen anything to indicate that a PW was ever on an AD of any dash #. Read "MY SECRET WAR" by Richard Drury for a great Skyraider book.
