I saw a picture of the Proud Bird resturant with a massive black cloud rising from it in 2006.
What happened? Was it a minor fire and it has since been repaired? Or has the resturant gone under and those lovely full size replica mock-ups are for the taking now?
In addition, is there a list of the aircraft they have? Both replica and real?
The Museum blog (and photo) may have been posted in December, 2006 -- but it was in reference to the anniversary of a tragic fire that occured in December, 1984.
The Proud Bird Restaurant (and its collection) is still there and doing fine -- I just drove past it last week. I've been meaning to go in and check it out -- maybe one of these days I will (and take my camera with me).
I believe there is a mix of real and replica displays on the property.
