Well, with the debate as to whether or not we will be able to get close to the Mustangs or not, I just decided to email them and ask. :D Good news!

This makes me even more excited! :D

Mr. Spencer,

You will be able to get up right next to most of the Mustangs on display. There may be a few that have to be roped off or seperated from the rest of the displays as they will be flying demonstration flights during the show. I hope this answers your question and we will see you at the Gathering of Mustangs & Legends this September.

GEE...think of all the good vibes there'll be. :?
At least you got an answer to your question. I asked them about what kind of seating (bleacher or chairs) there'll be in the grandstands and if the "veterans" discount tickets are for ANY veterans or for "retired" vets. Never heard a word.

Mudge the vibrator :hide:

Jeff Thornton...hmmm...I wonder if he's any relation to Sean or Cole?*

*(Maybe a bit too subtle for some of youse troops. I'll wait for an answer though.)

I only saw this today - so sorry for the short notice if you have not seen it before. Still - cool idea.

P-51 MUSTANG VETERAN PILOTS & CREW:

In September we are planning a historical aviation event; The Gathering of Mustangs & Legends, to celebrate the history of the P51 Mustang and the outstanding men and women that are so very important to that history. As we gather in September we would like to hear your personal moments and memories. Please share with us one of your favorite Mustang stories… or two. Short stories of your favorite Mustang adventures would make what you accomplished much more personal than any history book could offer.

Additionally, please provide your name, address, email or phone number and Fighter Group / Squadron with your submission.

Upon receipt of your story we will send to you 2 tickets to the upcoming Gathering of Mustangs & Legends event that is being held at Rickenbacker Int’l Airport in Columbus, OH – September 27-30, 2007. Stories must be submitted by August 15th, 2007.

These tickets will allow you and a guest access to one, two, three or all four-days of the event. Please share the 2nd ticket with whomever you wish. Your tickets will be mailed the week of September 3rd.

These tickets will provide access to the premium BOX SEATS. This area is in front of the Grandstands with a great view of all the flight activities, comfortable seating and boxed lunches for you and your guest each day you attend the event.

Please mail to: Gathering of Mustangs & Legends
