Hello All,

Catherine and I went for a drive last Sunday. In addition to the start of the fall colours we found three airframes; a T-38, a B-47 and a F-111, all in Northern New York. You can find the pics at...

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Where was the T-38? I was up there is June and got several pictures of the FB-111 and the B-47 but never saw the T-38. Also did you drive around the old AFB. There are several C-47 & DC-3 based up there. I should have gotten some pictures but I didn't. Next time I make a Malt run.

You didn't read the captions did you?  The T-38 is mounted on a pylon right beside route 11 on the north side between Bruston and Moira. You can't miss it. It is relatively close to the border crossing at Cornwall, but still quite a distance from Plattsburg.

I did happen to got by the base airfield when looking for the B-47 and F-111. I did see an engineless DC-3 but there was not vantage point where I could have taken a picture.

Regards,

Mike
