A recent post went off topic and Tony Levier's name came up so I thought that I would post this. Back in the late 1980's I invited Tony to speak at our quarterly management meeting (Menasco Landing Gear Company) in Burbank. As part of his presentation he passed out a list of all of his accidents or emergencies while flying for Lockheed as a test pilot. Many of you will recognize some of the incidents as they are now part of aviation lore. His talk to our group back then centered on how much money he saved Lockheed by being a good pilot. Some of the audience thought that it was a bit too over the top...... buy hey, he was a great pilot and probably did bring some ships home that otherwise might have cratered in!!!!!
FYI, the list confirms that he was in England flying P-38's in 1944.
Enjoy
