Hi guys,

New on this message board, but immediately a question on the Allied Air Force Grumman Tracker...

I have to go to Philadelphia for my boss to follow a course on a new product. My colleague already followed this course a couple of weeks ago. Actually besides the point, but as I have to plan a free weekend and a big fan of the Stoof, I was wondering who can tell me anything on the above mentioned Grumman Tracker.

I heard stories that the Allied Air Force lost their aircraft and they are owned by the airport at the moment. I wanted to take a look at the aircraft, but my colleague told me the aircraft is not at Queen City Airport anymore.

Any one any info on this Stoof?

Hope somebody knows!

MTIA

Paul

My intel tells me that the stoof is gone from Allentown. Where it went...I don't know. I just searched the FAA database and got this...I hope it's not true!

Distroyed!!!! I Hope not. This Stoof was VERY complete. It still had the MAD boom, radome, search light, and most of it's mission equipment inside. The paint was a little rough, but could have been a very nice Stoof with some TLC.

It was sold on EBAY some months ago...anybody know who actually bought it???

Here are some pictures I took of it almost a year ago on an un-seasonably warm December day in Allentown.

I have a contact at the airport authority who could possibly shed some light on this. Let's hope the Stoof wasn't distroyed!

Paul,

Thank you for the info thusfar! I also hope it is not true. I had seen the photos on the site you mentioned and that was one of the biggest reasons to go there. It is/was still very complete in contrary to the water bombers...

Any one else any info? To whom was it sold?

Again MTIA!
