All:

We're in need of help in locating either a shop that can overhaul Ranger engine cylinders or somebody that has six new cylinders. Our F-24/J2K/UC-61 has significant problems that require some "new" parts...easiest thing would be the new cylinders.

Thanks.

You might try contacting the Fairchild Yahoo Group at [url]fairchildclub@yahoogroups.com and [url]FairchildPT19and26@yahoogroups.com and Joe and Mark Denest at [url]mdaero1@comcast.net if you haven't already. Tulio may have an inside line also....

Hi Old Shep,

I have sent many Ranger cylinders to these folks for re-work. They do a lot of work for Joe Denest on his Ranger cylinders also.

http://www.harrisonengine.com/

Their customers seem to be pretty happy with their work. Ask for Dariel Turner, he should take good care of you.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Thanks for the prompt replies!

I forgot about Tulio, I lost the Denest's email, and I did not know about Harrison. Between those three leads I hope to be able to come up with something.

Anybody else have any suggestions? The more the better.

Old Shep

Hi Shep,
I receive a monthly magazine called, Aviators Bulletin. It is a classified rag for aircraft parts. The July issue has an ad by a man named,
Al Kaehler, in Palo Alto, CA. He has Ranger engine parts for sale.
Phone number # 650 493-5755.
Another ad from a man named, Ed, in Nevada has Ranger parts,
#702 723-5075

Good Luck,
Myles
