What, you got a scheme cookin Jerry?

But yeah that thing is definitely cool. I've never seen it before. With any luck, somebody probably had a good idea at the time, and converted one to a makeshift grill or something.
I’m still interested in acquiring a regular old Jeep. Straight Willy's, preferably 1942. If I could find a nice one that was Korean era, I would probably go for that one instead. Pricing has everything to do with it. Especially for me, since right now, I have no real ‘fun’ money
Anyone out there have the cheapest deal around for a fixer upper? Or who know of any deals at all?
Chris;
I don't have anything in mind for the X-ray truck, I just think it's really unique and would make a great historical piece. They must have used tyhem after the war also, since it appears you could use it on any thing that need to be x-ray examined, such as spars and propellers.
As far as the jeep goes, my interest is mainly with the CJ-2A's Post war stuff. I have two right now, and I'm getting ready to sell 1946 CJ-2A . It's not military and it it needs brakes and such, but it's all there.
Here's a link to a pic of my 1945 CJ-2A.

It was one of only 1824 CJ-2A's built during WWII. By 1946 they built 70,000, so it's a rare bird. Only about 30 are know to exists. Many of those are rusty piles because they are '45's and valuable fo rthe data plate. If you want a Military Jeep, then you'll either have to find one that's in not so good shape, or get ready to pay $8K plus for a stripped but running one. The Later M38's and M38A1's are less expensive and you might be able to start with one of those. Allof them are easy to work on and the parts are pretty easy to locate.
I'll keep my eyes open for you.
