Great photos but not AMARC, unless I missed something.

Photos taken at Mojave and El Mirage, California, according to the captions.

Those photos are truly beautiful. They make the boneyard look so mystical. Very cool!

Cheers,

David

That link was recently posted on the LSFM msg. board by a member. Totally weird but way cool. I want to try it.

Interesting stuff. The abandoned military section and ghost towns were also quite interesting.

Years ago there were similar photos of the B-29's at China Lake. I even had a poster of one (looking out from the pilots position through the broken nose glass). Unfortunately the poster is long gone and I've never been able to find a sourse for the photo's again...

Scott, If you can't find a replacement poster, take a photo that you like of a similar subject and go to a photo developer like at big grocery stores and get it posterized.
Doug.

The "electra" twim is actually PV-2 Harpoon conversion N148X I believe. This was a really sharp Howard 350? conversion that used to fly with P-38 drops. The plane went to Aero Union and I think was parted there before going to Mojave.
