Picture of the last Navy Skyraider to ever fly a mission over Vietnam. Seen here trapping on the USS Coral Sea. This bird was an A-1J flown by VA-25.

Cool picture. I have been told and the military records for my SPAD indicate that it was the last airframe on active duty. It flew at Pensacola until 1973. No combat history, 73 traps, and spent the last few years at Pensacola flying motion sickness studies. Bet that was fun. Got geared up, completely rebuilt, new engine and prop and then surplused. Your tax dollars at work.
