I'm looking for information on a P-51 that was part of the 4th FG. I have only ever seen one photo of the airplane in question and would like more info on this plane if anyone has any. There is a photo in one of the color photo books that Jeff Ethell put out covering the P-51, P-40, and P-38 that shows the nose of the airplane "NAD" but gives no other info. Anyone able to help me out with this???

Thank you both for the info. This is the only photo I had seen of the plane too. My initials are NAD and I am doing an electric RC Mustang and want to paint it in this scheme but needed more info. Thanks again.

According to the book "Escort To Berlin" written by Garry L. Fry and Jeffrey L. Ethell, 2nd Lt. Calvin H. Beason from Anderson, Indiana joined the 334Th FS on November 16, 1944. He was assigned his own P-51D in April of 1945 which he subsequently named "NAD".
Cheers,
Tom Walsh.
