.... that most probably would be 44-73008... a P-51D-25-NA; no individual a/c history at hand at the moment, except that it was attached to the 15th USAAF in Italy on 450310 and was salvaged 450703...
the other possibility would be 44-13008, a P-51D-20-NT, but this a/c was delivered to the RAAF as A68-668 in July 1945; so I think we can eliminate this one.
I also would like to know more about your source and other details you can come up with.
