Is anyone familar with "Uncle Buck", the fighting cock
emblem of the 65th F.S. of the 57th F.G. ???

I'm looking for general info and photos of P-40s with
the emblem painted on them.

There are many variations in the "Uncle Buck" artwork throughout WWII. Some are better that others and many original examples and photos are on display at the New England Air Museum in CT.

NEAM has the entire 57th FG archives and a display focused on their history. They might be a good resource for you. I have the unit history book at home with lots of photos. PM me and I'll see what I can dig up and scan for you.

Below is a link to photos of a section of P-40 fuselage
bearing the "Uncle Buck" emblem. I am looking for
information about it, a roster of pilots, and particularly
anthing about "Lt. Ross.
