In my quest to build the most authentic and most fully restored PV-2, I have obtained another PV-2 project that has been under restoration for some time. I don't need the airframe as I bought it to get some of the parts that I was missing. I am offering to donate the aircraft itself to anyone that is interested. I would prefer a 501c3 operation. If the new owner desires to make it a flyer, I will provide a set of core R-2800 engines. I should be able to provide enough parts to make it structural complete. The aircraft is currently not airworthy and would have to be moved by truck from its midwest location. It will need to be moved by September 30th.

If you are seriously interested and have the means to make this happen, send me PM or email me at tim(at)warbirddigest.com.

Thanks!

Cool -- hope you find it a good home -- in the meantime, any chance we can see some pics of your project?

They're such a fun and simple airplane to take apart, too... just like an erector set!

All kidding aside, they're a challenge to breakdown, but they do come apart.... worthy of saving, I'd say! Image

The PV-2 has found a new home. I appreciate all those who showed an interest. It is going to a very good home.

Paula,

I figured you had got her and were going to put her in your backyard so you could play "Hot Stuff" during the off season.
