B-17 and Bird Dog over Minneapolis?

Ok, either, I am nuts, or I seen a two B-17's one polished the other green and a Bird Dog ariplane flying from what seemed the St. Cloud Area S.E. towards Minneapolis yesterday.
I live in Albertville, between St. Cloud and Minneapolis, and I swear they were B-17's or B-25's? They were a ways away, but the sound perked my ears up and I just got a glimps.

According to b17.org, the EAA's B-17 was at Anoka County from the 6th to the 8th, and should be in St. Cloud from the 10th to the 11th.

That Bird Dog wasn't a Beagle,Was it? 
My map shows that Minneapolis is to the S.E. of St. Cloud?

Aluminum Overcast was front page in the Star Trib with some vet stories a couple days ago.
