Gang, Just wanna mention that the classic WW2 AAF "TWILIGHT ZONE" episode "KING NINE WILL NOT RETURN" will air tonite (July 2-3) on the Sci-Fi Channel at 2am Eastern. This one's pretty good & is based on the WW2 "Lady Be Good" mission. Also, the WW1 episode "THE LAST FLIGHT" is even better & airs an hour earlier at 1am Eastern. It's all about a WW1 British Flying Ace who flies through a cloud & mysteriously lands on a 1959 Air Force Base...

Both these episodes can be bought on VHS at Amazon for just $2. Here's the box art:

Here's the Amazon link:

Here's a few cool shots from the shows:

The USAF Base portrayed in the "Last Flight" episode is supposed to be "Lafayette Air Force Base" in Reims, France. It was actually filmed at Norton AFB, California. Ha! Ha! It's fun to see all the brand new "Modern" 1959 USAF Aircraft in the background!!

Don't forget to check'em both out tonite . "THE LAST FLIGHT" airs at 1am Eastern, 12am Central, 11pm Mountain, 10pm Pacific. "KING NINE WILL NOT RETURN" airs an hour later on the SCI-FI Channel... Digger

"The Last Flight" is a great episode...thanks for the heads up. When I saw it on tv about 15 years ago, it was kind of spooky. I had forgotten about it but I obviously had seen it as a child...a lot of it was familiar so obviously it made a big impression on me way back when.

I think Frank Tallman provided the airplane and flying for that episode, shot in 1960.

You're thinking of the 1970 TV movie "Sole Survivor."

Yes, "Sole Survivor" is the 1970 movie based on the "Lady Be Good". It has a crashed B-25 in the dessert & a WW2 AAF Ghost Crew:

You can get a DVD copy at www.ioffer.com for just 10 bucks. The quality is very good, 9 out of 10...
The photo is Black & White but the DVD is in color:

Great Film... Digger
