Jack,
When was that picture of the "Sorry Sara" taken? The deckload looks to be late 70's? More likely before 77 because we had Heavy 12 on the Indy back then for what I think was their last cruise. Always did like the fact that the crew had the vertical stripe on the stack in tribute to the earlier Sara.
I know the pod that that A-7E is carrying on the inboard station is an infrared pod but I don't remember the designator. Does anyone? We had the ability to repair them into the early 80's on the Vinson.

That would be the Super Sara at anchor in Naples harbor 198-79 Med cruise I beleive taken by my step-dad from a SH-3 Sea King of HS-7.
I don't know the designation of the pod on the Blue Diamond A-7E.

Hey Jack, Do you have any pics of the USS Shangri-La in 1952 with an SNJ onboard???
Or how about 1953-54 NAS Miramar VF-54 with either Corsairs, Spads, or an SNJ on the ramp??

Hi Chuck,
I've got some Corsair stuff I'll take a look for ya.
I'm pretty skimpy these days on SNJs and A-1s but
do have some good T-28 shots.

Great, take a look at the history of my SNJ and T-28C and see if you can come up with anything. Send me an EMail if you do.
