Hey Steve I was just wondering if you were planning on making the trek to Texas one more time for the "Wings Over Houston" show this coming weekend (16-17).

Howard is always there and Stewart is usually flying something for Lone Star or like last year he brought the Sea Fury. Put on a gorgeous acro in her too.

Some WIX people usually show up and it would be great having you down here. I help out with the Collings Foundation and we have some stuff on the field and I'm sure a few of us would be willing to show you around as well as provide some good ole hospitality.

Well, a very definate "maybe". Southern Cross is still in Midland, so I need to get on the airlines and bring her home. Right now I'm watching the weather, as it's pretty lousy here in Missouri at the moment.

I had a flap actuator bust a seal on arriving at Midland, which is why I didn't fly on Saturday. Then when the weather turned nasty on Sunday I hitched a ride on the King Air with Mrs. P and came home. Gary Austin's got the plane ready now, so if the timing works out I'll swing through Houston on my way home.

Best wishes,

Steve

Steve, if you have time off this or next week, (Wednesdays or Thursdays) I would like to try to say hello in person.

Saludos,

Tulio

Well Steve the weather in Houston is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend. A little rain is expected today and some tomorrow morning with something like 20% Friday. 20% is normal on any given day in Houston.

At any rate we would love to have you and the bird down here for the show. Looks like it could be a good one. I don't really know what warbird stuff is supposed to show up but we normally get pretty lucky.

Also a friend and I would be more than happy to help out with the airplane in any way if you need it. We've helped on the Collings stuff before and Rick Sharpe's Skyraider so we know how to use a rag and even how to hang droptanks (not recommended with gas in them).

My e-mail address is chicken696@swbell.net if you wanna contact me about whatever details instead of on the board here. I can't login because my account isn't working right but the e-mail there works just fine.

Appreciate the invitation, but Mrs. Patterson had other plans for this weekend. Have a good time at Wings over Houston, and I'll be sure to put it on the calendar for next year.

I flew Southern Cross home today from Midland. No problems, and a nice day (finally) to fly. Our WX has been cr*p lately. I guess winter is coming to the midwest.

Tulio, I've got a trip on Wed. next week, but Thursday would be no problem. Send me a PM and I'll give you some details on how to contact me.

Best regards,

Steve
