B-25 spotted over Dayton, OH

Sat Jun 30, 2007 4:36 pm

I was at the local cruise-in and my Dad pointed out the obivious outline of a B-25 flying in a SW direction at about 1900 to 2000 hrs.

Any guesses as to which Mitchell this could of been? Appeared to be BMF.

Thanks

All B-25's are BMF's.

It was the CAF Minnesota Wing's B-25 flying at the Air Tattoo at the Air Force Museum. Very cool!

Thanks.

Yeah can you believe I missed the Tattoo? It was due to a scheduling conflict. The Cruise-in over the Tattoo. I'll catch it next year. I'd see the F-22, F-15 and F-16 streaking across the sky and a couple of Warthogs as well.

I didn't miss the traffic though. I saw how packed the Museum and base were.

I guess that depends on what you think "BMF" stands for. If you think "BMF" stands for "Big Mutha Fucker" well then yeah I agree with you.

This Mitchell?

That would be Miss Mitchell...great bunch of people involved with that plane. I had the pleasure of spending about an hour having my questions answered by them at the Goshen Freedomfest yesterday: ya, fer sure :D

Excalibur is that exquisite example of a Mustang owned by Jim Read who also had his Corsair at Goshen.

Shay.....warbirds at Tattoo besides Miss Mitchell and Excalibur were C-47 'Black Sparrow', C-54 'Spirit Of Freedom', a pair of T-28s and a Sabre.
