Sorry if it’s a repost, but it was a curious question I had.

What actor out there would be able to portray the famed aviator? Say for instance you would make a movie completely about the life of Doolittle. (Kinda like The Aviator, but with actual aircraft)

Who out there in Hollywood land would be able to play him? Or who would you get for his early life version, and his older self?

I was thinking of Bob Hoskins from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" and "Enemy at the Gates".

Any ideas out there?

That would be Michael Chiklis.

Since you mentioned, looks like he has a new WW2 movie coming out about the assasination plot on Hitler.

Yeah Ed Harris by far he has the look and the range. He was who I suggested last time this came up. Why his biography is not a movie I will never know.

You know it eventually will. Hopefully by then there will be enough money in the budget to put 4 or 5 early version B-25's in the air at once, instead of J models.

Y.A.M.'s B-25D "Yankee Warrior"
T.F.C.'s B-25D
A.A.M's B-25 "MissHap"
Aero Trader B-25B "Halloween" (Maybe could be restored by then.)

Any other potential early version flyers?

And the title has a great ring to it:

Bruce Willis was my first choice but since y'all threw Ed Harris into the mix, I have changed my mind. Ed Harris has my vote.

If Hollywood casts it like they cast most of the WWII movies, it will probably be Samuel L. Jackson or maybe Jet Li.

Yeah, that or Alec Baldwin may reprise his role as General Doolittle in "Pearl Harbor". (I sincerely hope not!)
