Anyone got goss on how the 2 rare aussie built CAC Sabre jets at Temora are progressing? One is the last flying RAAF jet on loan and nearing flight? and other is a long term rebuild and still taking a while?
Any photos of the rebuilding available anywhere?
When taken with HARS Sabre jet , there is a distinct potential one day at Wollongong there maybe 3 Sabre taxining on the runway

sabredriver,
I understand both the RAAF Sabre and the TAM Sabre are under active airworthy restoration but I wasnt aware the HARS Sabre is intended for airworthy restoration, it was part of the CAC Heritage Collection at Fisherman's Bend and then transfered to Bankstown before the recent relocation to Woolongong, and may? still belong to Hawker De Havilland, as does the Drover (and tigermoth? and static Vampire?) at HARS?
There is a CAC Sabre under restoration in NZ so it would seem at least 3 will return to the air.

HARS as i understasnd from talking to the guru who was solely reworking her back to life in Febraury at open day , said she will be a sole taxining only not airworthy, hence i said 3 sabre all taxining at gong would be a great thing to see if they all get to that status.
