Old Glory is prominently displayed above my desk at work, not just today, but EVERY day.

And I'm wearing a red, white, and blue shirt today!

Cheers!

I flew several flags on a combat mission over Afghanistan today. Got some great photos of my wingman doing the same thing, but unfortunately since Photobucket is blocked over here, I can't share 'em right now.

"Old Glory" is flying her at our house. Our flag flys everyday except when it is raining. Be thankful we have had so many patriots and remember the sacrifice they have made to keep our country free and the flag flying.

Old glory flies on my house every single day. The American flag is on one side of the garage, and the POW-MIA flag flies on the other. They only come down when the wind threatens them.

This brings up a point that I'm tempted to write a letter to the editor here in my town, Vicksburg, Ms. How many of y'all see, in y'all's towns, 'patriotic' Americans proudly flying wind-torn & tattered, or faded, or just plain disgraceful condition flags? Individuals, businesses, churches, you name it. Here in V'burg, it's all over. Most times, if you contact the business about, they say they'll take care of it but don't. A couple of months ago, at our local American Legion, of all places, you wouldn't believe what a disgraceful flag they were 'proudly' flying! I haven't been back at that part of town, so I don't know if it's been corrected. I also wonder, if these same folks, when they DO discard their flag, they just wad it up & throw it in the garbage rather than a solemn funeral pyre. So, is it just here or what?

I see it in Southern California all the time. Mine is coming up due for replacement as well. I usually keep three or four tattered flags before doing a destruction ceremony.
