I went out and saw the U.S.S. Yorktown, and then met up with Rarebear who was nice enough to escort me onto base and see some of the restored cargo aircraft. Then on the last day of the trip, I made everyone stop at the U.S.S. North Carolina. It was like 95 out, so everyone was really happy to be there.

They have a PBR?! Cool! Love to take that out for some water skiing!

The 124 is cool to see.

Mustang Driver -

Glad to hear the trip to SC worked out for you. These are some great pics; loved the ones of the Dauntless and the Wildcat in the hangar bay; thanks for posting these!

Great pics ... Having flown in the C124 I appreciated the pic of what we called "Old Shaky" ... The kids enjoy going into the one at the AF Museum which is kind of neat .... The Stearman is in my collection of hats. Thanks Again ......

Nice shot....she is of the 'Taney' class, a 327 ft Coast Guard cutter used in WWII....the Taney was scrapped while I was in the CG in 1982.

I loved the whole Patriots Point area there in Charleston, S.C. It is a great place to have these ships and memorials.
