Aeroplane Photo Supply of Toronto

Sat May 26, 2007 1:12 pm

Hi,

As far as I can research, this photo service no longer exists. If I would want to use one of their photos in a publication or post it to the web, like this forum, would just crediting the "Aeroplane Photo Supply, Toronto Canada" be sufficient? From what i can see, most of the pictures appear to be from government or manufacturer sources. An organization I am in aquired one of our deceased members photo collections and he has several hundred of them.

Thanks.

May all your bent wings be F2G Corsairs

Kenn, I honestly believe that there is little chance of any comeback from whoever took over (if anyone actually did) when the AFS went west some years back. I know for a fact that they used a lot of factory photos and government copyright material (particularly in regards to Canadian aircraft). They, like so many other similar organizations, never had the copyright that they claim. I would think that an attribution such as you suggest would be more than enough protection.
