What is this thing?

I saw this at the Anoka airshow today, and neither I or my dad know what it is. Do you? It looks almost like canopy framing for an OV-1 Mohawk, and AWAM has lots of those, but it's at the opposite end of the airport from them.

Looks like an ejection training device.

I agree with Jerry. It almost has to be an ejection training device. Can't think of anything else that would require the use of explosive cartridges except for maybe starting up the engines on a Martin B-57 Camberra bomber.

Yup, it's an ejection seat trainer. We had one very similar to that at 2d MI Bn in Stuttgart. The stuff behind the "cockpit" section appears to be the seat rails.

With the one we had, full-charge seat cartridges were used, and it was quite a ride! :wink:
