I assume you are talking about the A/C serial number stencil block on the left side of the nose? The exact position (and format) of the block varied based on the manufacturer (Boeing, Douglas, Vega) and the production block. For example, Boeing put the block further back in relation to the navigator windows. Best way is to determine the production block of the aircraft you are interested in, then find a nose art photo of an aircraft from the same production block. Lots of references on nose art photos show the serial number block. I believe the stencil lettering was done in 1" and 1/2" heights.
If you are talking about ALL the stencils on the aircraft, the best way is to get a copy of the Boeing drawing that spells this out. That is a imposing task, because you would then have to get each individual stencil drawing for the text format.
