Pictures from Mr. Tom Colones of North Carolina, a 352nd FG historian, via Sam Sox (of course!):

Great pics!

You can see in photos 3 & 4 what looks like a field mod just below the canopy rails. Looks like they glued some canvas(?) trying for a better seal.

Great shots, the pics give good detail of the flight gear. Looks like he's wearing a British C-type helmet.

Thanks for posting them.

Nice!

All but the last photo were taken by Lt. George Arnold on August 6th, 1944 upon Preddy's return from his six-kill mission.

The last photo was taken the next day by a photographer from an Eighth Fighter Command camera unit.

That last one is a frame from film taken that next day. Our DVD, Fight for the Sky, contains this particular short clip and others from Bodney - but much clearer!

Here are the "filmstrips" I did for this release. Notice the Preddy grab in the third one - same viewing position as the shot above:

Great photos. Sam Sox and Bob Powell were so kind to provide me with a great photograph of a 352nd aviator for a dear friend. I can only imagine what that photo collection is like!
