Printed on the back of the prop, for the pilot to observe "FCR" means "First Cover Rear" in an early attempt to remind pilots to watch their 6.

The back of a propeller is the part that faces to the front. The side of a propeller that a pilot can see from the cockpit is called the face. Actually it is the face and back of the propeller blades.
