Where were Stearmans last used for training US Airman?

Hi guys,
Do any of you know when the PT-13/17 Stearman was last used to train USAAF and USN pilots? Have any idea what its last base of operation was also?

Hi Don,
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your questions, (I have a pretty good guess, but rather than make a fool of myself........), I bet if you tried posting your inquiry on one of the two Stearman sites that have forum boards I know of, someone might be able to help.
One of them, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Stearman/, is even hosted by one of our very own WIXers, Roger Cain.
The other is, of course, the Stearman Restorers Association website, http://www.stearman.net/
Again, both have forums that will probably get you the answer. If you have any interest in the Stearman at all, I would suggest joining both groups.
