Help ID my warbird pics #3

Wed Feb 28, 2007 7:52 pm

Here are four more for you guys to help with. These are all from Chino, May and June 1991. I have a pretty good guess as to all but the first one, and am looking for confirmation or other suggestions as to the identity.

1. AD-5 in Planes of Fame yard. No idea which one this is.

2. This F8F sat in the Planes of Fame yard in about this condition for a few years. Is this the CAF's original Bearcat 122614 that is now finally looking like it will fly again soon?

3. Am I right in assuming that this P-38 at Fighter Rebuilders is 42-67543, later Happy Jack's Go Buggy, then California Cutie, then a tragic wreck at Duxford?

4. My best guess is that this P-47 at Pacific Fighters is 45-49385. You guys agree?

Thanks again.

I noticed that Melsheimer (B-25J Tootsie owner) is the registered owner of the WestPac P-47. Is he a partner with Bill and Alan in the aircraft?
