Just the other day all the board members and president resigned. Does anyone know any further information on the situation?

Hey Glenn,

I was just going though WIX posts and saw this one. What the heck is going on at the BCAM? I can't find any info online that may support what you're saying.

Mind you, their website is being revised right now and that could be a sign of something.

Anyways, let me know if you've heard anything recently. That museum is a good one, and their volunteers are great. It's kind of odd that the entire board of directors would up and quit.

Cheers,

David

Hi David,

From what I know, nothing has happened. The BCAM held their AGM/elections and some new execs were voted in. So yes, some of the board stepped down.

As for the website, it was taken down by the member who did it, apparently he wasn't to happy about something. It should be up and running again soon.

Least that's what I was told.

Brian....

Hey brian,

Thanks for the update. I didn't expect that things were going bad at the BCAM. It seems like it's being run well. And I figured the website was just being updated for some reason or another.

If only I could update the CMF's website. I'm dying to replace the pictures of our airplanes that date back to when the CMF was still at Crescent Beach. Oh, and of course adding a section for our new-ish Tutor. As well as the Lodestar... and heck while I'm at it, I'd love to put up a bending restoration section so people can learn about planes in our collection that are not on display.

Thanks for the update on the BCAM.

Cheers,

David

I just checked out the British Columbia Aviation Museum's website and it is back up and with a new look. It's quite nice but I do wish they'd have more pictures and information about their collection. Still, it's a great museum with a very good base of volunteers.

Here's the link to their website: http://www.bcam.net/

Seems like everything is going fine over there.

Cheers,

David

That is very interesting - the museum's A-26 invader is being preserved in its water bomber/fire fighting configuration! I wonder if there are any plans afoot to get her back in flying condition. That would be an interesting feature at any air show. :)
