The August 2008 Desktop Calendars are now available from the Warbird Depot website; http://www.warbirddepot.com/desktop_calendars.asp

This month includes:

1. The Commemorative Air Force's Consolidated B-24A Liberator "Ol 927", being flown by Mack Deeds and Paul Stojkov, over the Texas oil fields at the 2007 FINA-CAF Airshow in Midland, TX.
2. Jim Smith's beautiful North American P-51D Mustang, being flown by Nelson Ezell, over Crystal Lakes, MT.
3. Raybourne Thompson flying his rare war veteran Supermarine Spitfire LF.Mk. IX MK959 outside of Covey Trails, Texas. This warbird is now owned by Tom Duffy.
4. The Fighter Collection's rare Gloster Gladiator Mk.II N5903, being flown by Pete Kynsey, on its maiden test flight in the evening of July 10th, during preparations for the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford Airfield, U.K.
5. Frank Sanders taxiing out for the first flight in the Sanders family's P&W R-4360 powered, 4,000 horsepower, Hawker Sea Fury T.20 "Dreadnought" on August 6, 1983 in Chino, CA. This September will mark the 25th anniversary of "Dreadnought" racing at the National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.
6. Nick Grey taking off in The Fighter Collection's rare Curtiss 75 Hawk during the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford Airfield, U.K.
7. Rob Gordon taxiing out for some practice laps in Daryl Bond's recently repainted North American TF-51D Mustang "Lady Jo" during the 2008 Pylon Racing Seminar in Reno, NV.
8. Bernie Vasquez flying Alan Lieberman's Giles G-202, with Jimmy Ferreira in the front seat, enroute to Eagles Nest airport in Ione, CA.

9. Stew Dawson in his Hawker Fury FB.11 "Spirit of Texas" leading Robert "Hoot" Gibson, flying Mike Keenum's Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 "Riff Raff", as they approach pylon #4 at the 2007 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. This year's Air Races and Airshow will be held on September 10 - 14, 2008.
10. The Planes of Fame Air Museum's N.A. F-86F Sabre and Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 Fagot, being flown by Steve Hinton and Chris Fahey respectively, performing at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
11. An Air Canada Embraer 190 landing on runway 24R at Toronto's LBPIA.
12. A VFC-13 "Fighting Saints" Northrop F-5E Tiger II taking off at the 2007 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.
