Does anyone have a listing of serial numbers for the MiG-17's (Lim-5's and 6's) that Tallichet imported into the United States back in the mid-1990's? I understand that there were 25 airframes in all. Thanks!

Rob

One of them went to MAPS, but I don't know the serial.

Back in 99 or 2000 I was south of Dallas, near Gun Barrel City, TX.
It was on a lake.

Well at a marina/boat shop there were quite a few jets in crates and a couple assembled.

I'm not a jet person, but thinking back they looked like Mig 17's.

Anyone know, or is anyone ever down that way?

By serials do you mean US N Number or Polish(?) AF Serials?

Polish numbers such as '1F0325'. That particular number belongs to a Lim-6 that was part of the group of twenty-five Polish MiG's he imported to the US. Now if I could just identify the other twenty-four. :)

I'll take N-numbers as well if that's all that is available, although I don't believe Tallichet would have registered the planes with the FAA though. I could be wrong!

I stand to be corrected but one may be N2400X was seen by myself at the Valliant Air Command at KTIX, but this has a number of 1A-06027 so it is a Lim-2 and i dont know if this is a MiG-17 or not
See: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1036170/L/

But if it isnt I'm stuck because I can't find any reference to any others :?

Some more searching show that 1F0319 was exported at around the same time as 1F0325 so this may be another?

This is now registered N2305N
