Does anyone have a good source for the background/history of the SAAF T6's? I need a good info source, to write a few paragraphs about my SAAF T6 for my website.

Thanks

Ed,

I picked up a book just a couple years ago, exclusively on the SAAF Harvards called North American "Harvard" in service with the SAAF 1940-1995. I'll scan you in a couple of pages and send them to you, via your email link on your personal page...........Roger

I would contact Paul Redlich at the Tri-State Warbird museum. He imported many (if not all) of the SAAF T-6's and he is a real wealth of knowedge on them. At least if he dosn't know he might be able to send you to someone who does.

Eric,

What's your construction number? I'll see if there is anything in a book that I have called " the North American T-6" There are a number of pages dedicated to the SAAF planes. I found the book very useful in researching a T-6 that I was looking at buying.

Not sure it'll help, Eric, but you can try contacting some of the folks at the Harvard Club of South Africa......

Dealt with a couple of their members a couple years ago -- real nice people! They might be able to give you a few more sources at least....
