Just finished reading "George Preddy, Top Mustang Ace" from 1991. The authors said at that time there had been no pictures found of "Cripes A'Mighty 2nd".
Has a pic ever been found since then? Jack??

Ahhhh I didn't catch the part about the unpublished photos the first time

I thought the name of the company sounded familar. I went back to the main site and found their address. The are just down the street from where my step daughter and grand kids live up in Montana. I'll have to go by there when I up there this summer

Hi:

I am the author of the new book from Eagle Editions. I had the immense pleasure of working closely with Sam Sox Jr. on the whole project. His knowledge and willingness to share photos with me proved invaluable throughout. It was a great experience for me and one that I am happy to share with potential readers.

The book does contain photos and details of each of George Preddy's Mustangs; his P-51B, P-51D-5 and P-51D-15. Also included are great profiles of the aircraft by noted illustrator Tom Tullis. For those modelers amongst us, decals are also available in each of the three popular scales.

Also included, as a bonus, are photos and profiles of John Bennett's sharkmouth Mustang P-51D, the only one of the 352nd. Again, this aircraft is also a decal subject.

Among many highlights in the book is the views of Preddy's P-51B. We were able to determine accurately the left and right side views. The right side seen here for the first time.

I hope that anyone with an interest in the Mustang, or more specifically the life of George Preddy finds the book a great source of information.

Cool beans! I just got my copy of Mark's book - and the nice included set of decals.

Amazing detail and depth of research. The profiles by Tom Tullis are very nice as well. No excuses for not getting any of Preddy's kites "right".

Good job, Mark - and Eagle Editions; the book is in 8.5 x 11 inch format on very high-quality shiny stock.

Highly recommended. This is the kind of thing I'll bet a few years from now you'll see on eBay for $75+, so don't wait. I think this is a "limited run".

Got my copy today as well. Interesting to see the photo of HO-R formerly the P51B Cripes A Mighty. I noted it was mentioned it was lost in July of 44. Also interesting to see it lost it's underwing stripes before that?

Thought that didn't happen until later in the summer-fall of 44.

Also interesting to see the photo of the B model before it got the Malcom hood. The squadron codes look lighter then black by a ways compared to the dark blue of the star and bar. Almost like they are in the blue of the nose color.
