Gang, TONITE (Sept 27th) at 8pm the Discovery Channel is going to SINK the Carrier used in the Film "Bridges At Toko Ri".
The USS Oriskany will be blown up with a ton of explosives.

She was sunk in the Gulf of Mexico, May 17, 2006, 24 miles off the coast of Pensacola, Fla., to form an artificial reef.

I found the movie in the discount box at Wally.

It was 2 for 11.00. I got "Toko-Ri" and all 26 "Victory at Sea" reels.

I felt it was a nice score and they had plenty more.

I grabbed "Victory at Sea" outta' that bin, too. Great documentary. Problem is, I remember most of that stuff from when it actually happened.
