Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liberty is really looking great. It will be fantastic to see another B-17 up and about. Great job to all who have put in countless hours and tireless effort to get that girl back on her feet. Thank you for bringing another great part of our history back to life again. I am really going to try to pinch and save to take a ride this up and coming year in a 17, now the only question is........................which one to ride in?????????
Question: Is that an A-26 Invader in the second photo??? Also, while we are on the subject of B-17's does any one know if "Aluminum Overcast" is finally back home again???? or coming home soon???????

Thanks Dave D.

That's definately an A-26 in the second photo, can't say which one though.

The invader is...
Model: Douglas A-26C Invader
S/N: 44-35752 USAAF
C/N: 29031
C/R: NL81797
Owner: Flying Tigers Warbird Restoration Museum???
Codes: "Rude Invader"
History: A-26C-45-DT 44-35752 USAAF, N8627E (1966), CF-KBZ (1972/6), C-FKBZ (1979), NL81797 (1989/1) registered A-26C

It was last registered as a C model, but it has a solid nose, even if it doesn't accurately represent a B model.

Regards,

Mike

Okay, here's a photo I took of the 26 in 1993?
I believe that is part of the B17 stacked in front even then.

I believe that is the same A-26 I noticed at Allaire airport in Wall Township in NJ years back. Back then it never seemed to move and just sat. What a surprise when I saw it at Reilly's.

Glad to see the new B-17 looking so well and making it through the hurricane.
