Okay. Time for a new thread. No bragging rights but just a tribute to those who have some record of their relatives exploits. No limits. No rules. Just a chance to share what we may be lucky enough to have saved. Pass on the story, preserve the history.

Pop's Razorback getting a new engine.

Here's a couple extra's. Frank Carter's blown engine in his P-38. He made it to the ground safely but the plane was pretty beat up. Also, 33rd FG Commander, Col. Frank Dunn's P-47 with a wee bit of damage.

Thanks for asking but not a lot so far. It seems the only option is self-publishing and that takes $$$$$. With three lads in college, my fundage requires other placement.

I hope to have it with a publisher soon. The few protoypes I have given people to read have been very well received so if I can get it off of dead center, I may be alright.

I had the forward written by one of Dad's three best friends and classmate, John Dinou, author of "Fading Wings, Faded Glory". It was pretty cool to talk with him and know that he was a big part of Dad's life.

If you haven't read his book, it is a good one. (out of print but still available) The first half tells the tales my Dad's letters refer to in John's own firsthand words.

I guess I could try to market the book direct but my production costs for a soft bound edition in low volume would be more than I think collectors would be willing to pay.
