What warbirds would you like to see added to this year show?

I'd like to see pretty much anything from the Russell Group and Vintage Wings of Canada back, those were definitely the highlights for me last year. For something completely different, a Bearcat would be cool, maybe Howard Pardue or Tom Woods. If you're looking for a jet, an F-86 for the Heritage Flight would be cool to see again. I really like the lineup so far, I'll be there for my 6th straight year!

Spitfire's

Mr. Greenwoods TE308 Plz and Rudy Frasca's TP280 would be very cool.

Maybe have them chase Mr. Russell's 109 around? :D

Cheers Dave C

I think that since B-25's were used heavily in the Pacific anything used in that theatre USAAF, USN, British etc could work. Specifically a PV-2 Harpoon, SB2C Helldiver and SBD Dauntless would be great additions. Now only if someone would purchase that A-20 Havoc!

Dave, Howard Pardue was just here, we skied together Sat. and they left Mon. I haven't discussed Thunder from the standpoint if him going, but I bet it is the kind of event he would like, even if there is not a waiver for acro. It is suddenly winter here, we just got a foot of snow and still coming. Maybe I will try to post some photos of the Spitfire looking like a snowman. As for me, I hope to get back to YIP whether as a participant or a spectator. I wish I had been there when they had all the B-17s. I have some friends in the area also. Thanks for the thought.

Maybe it's just me but...A theme show is nice but I'd just as soon see 200 airplanes there. I wouldn't care if they were 89 different makes, models, paint jobs, whatever. I'm not hard to please. Just give me lots of planes in the air and lots of "Thunder Over Michigan".

Mudge the easy :D

I am sure that there will be a large and varied group of warbirds there, but since you asked - any of the following would be great:

More JET warbirds: F-86 Sabres, MiG Fury FJ-4B Fury, T-33s (Red Knight!), Collings F-4, USAF Heritage Flight F-4s from Tyndall, F-104 (Starfighters), F-100 (if there is one out there), MiG-21, Collings TA-4, almost any jet warbird except L-39s (just not my thing).

F7F Tigercat, F8F Bearcat, Skyraiders, T-28s

A-26s, B-29

More C-47s, Super DC-3/C-117D, C-54, Caribou, C-119, C-123, HU-16 Albatross, P-2 Neptune, other big piston transport types

P-38s, P-39, P-63

vintage helicopters like H-21, H-34, H-19

I know this is more of a "dream" type list and maybe it's also some thoughts for multiple future shows. We can't have everything in one year!

Thanks for putting together another great show. Looking forward to lots of Mitchells and other warbirds.

Also - hopefully as many flying in the show as possible, althought I look forward to Arrival Day again.

Jim C.

Something else just occured to me - a Flying Team out of Cincinnati, OH that would be perfect for Thunder over Michigan - the SIX T-28s of "The Trojan Horsemen."

http://www.trojanhorsemen.com/

I was hoping to see them at Millville, NJ last year, but missed it.

I too would like to see a few A-26's along with the Horsemen, that would be cool.

In trainers, I don't think I've seen a Ryan PT-22 at the show in recent years, how about a couple of them? Fuel shouldn't be too bad.

You've already gotten many great suggestions, but I'll also raise my hands for more Korean era jets...F-86, T-33, etc.

Kevin and I are talking of holding the number of B-25s to 16, so we will be able to hire some of the other stuff you would like to see.

Sound good :?

Any chance of getting B-25H for the show? I think that a/c would almost be a must. I think a variety of models would be really great. You have RB-25 and your "D" so the "H" seems to be the missing model. I'd be very happy with 16 B-25s. Like Mudge I like to see a good Varity of a/c also. I'd think that it would also help others not so into B-25s show up.

Any chance of getting a seek peak at the "New" grounds layout? I know most of us would be interested, it can really help knowing where to be when for some of the displays. And set some minds at ease able some of the problems that showed up last year.
Tim

I'd like to see one of those new replica ME 262 jet fighters flying and doing mock attacks on a couple of B-17's! :D

Anybody know when one of these will be hitting the U.S. airshow circuit??

Mike,

If you're interested in a T-33 (NATO camo), shoot me an email. I can ping my buds here at KUES and see if we can get you a Canadian Harvard (RCAF markings), T-6s (South African, USAAF, USMC markings), and a P-51D (352nd FG "Petie 2nd"). Best of luck for a successful Thunder '07!

He doesn't take the "Bear" to any airshows except for Oshkosh and sometimes Mount Comfort/ Indianapolis Air-Show. My dad used to fly for Mr. Wood and every now and them he would take the Bearcat out for a little spin but he rarely took it to shows.
