An absolutely outstanding series of photographs showing various pieces of training equipment is currently for sale on eBay. It well catalogs so many different types of materials that are rarely ever seen. I ain't no MarkAllenM, but I will be doing my best impression with this post:

Notes
  • The oversized teaching aids include charts that match the forms mentioned in a previous post.
  • As a matter of fact, the airspeed calibration cards mentioned in another previous post can be found among them.
  • A number of the hands-on examples also crossover with the simulator thread. For example, the "visible" instruments made out of clear plastic resemble the transparent link trainer mentioned in a post. Similarly, the large, board mounted charts are akin to the system boards mentioned in a post in the best aviation museum exhibits thread.
  • The subject of two of the pictures is the rare AT-7 top "turret" sighting station.
  • These "classroom models" were made by G. Felsenthal and Sons, who may be recognized as the manufacturer of the E-6B and various other "whiz wheels".
  • The original names as printed on the photographs have been used where available. For example, if they share similar holes, notations or numbers.
