A stroke of genius, Chris!

What better way to celebrate 100 years of Canadian aviation than with a viewing of this treasured documentary? Unless, of course, a viewing would offend too many of our Canadian guests. :D

Now for the forensic investigation:

What was the motive for the act?

It has been suggested before that "The Defender" may have been a protoype for the Red Green Show.

I think if you duct-taped a set of Cessna wings to the Possum Van it would certainly be more airworthy....

I've just watched the Spinal Tap of aviation.

That was just, um, sad. Some of that stuff was SOOOO very obviously messed up to begin with, and it's sad to see someone waste their time on an obviously flawed project.

Thank-you for posting that, it was hilarious watching that again :)

Almost every single scene has something funny or stupid :) It's too bad he didn't put an ejection seat in it!

What happened to the Diemert "Val"? I only saw the picture briefly in the film, and can find only two surviving aircraft - one at Chino and one in Texas. Is it one of those?

That's the one at Chino, with the B-25 QEC and Harvard rudder.

you could invite the canucks to view The Arrow, with Dan Akroyd, while everyone else is watching The Defender...............

The picture on the Preserved Axis Aircraft website shows it missing the tail fin/rudder and stabiliser.
