I think it's 80%. I'm 100% sure that it's scaled-down, maybe 70% or 75%...

This post started by Robbie sure has had many varied responses.

Enjoyed the photos by everbody. Gotta like Rich's air to air shots of Jim B's Spitfire.

Also, not often you can get Mudge to be, "Mudge the sweaty, decorated, jaded,
relaxed, wuss, impressed, vertically endowed, and restrained" all in one post.

Anyway, it was a great weekend, a couple more pics below.

Thank you everyone for sharing such awesome photos from the show, I really hope to make it there some day. The photos are most welcomed, and partially make up for not being able to attend.

It is great to see the photos of the replica Stuka, N87LL, and I hope it will be at some more shows this summer. It is 7:10 scale, but looks very convincing, especially when flying overhead, as you don't really see the pilot's size nor have anything else to judge its scale by.

Don't know if anyone has congratulated Greg on the super job as Air Boss.
He kept everything running smoothly in spite of, what sounded like, some "disagreements" with the RDG tower.

Greg...ya' done good. :drink3:

I don't know, every photo I see of Greg, he's sitting in a chair about to fall asleep....

Kidding of course. Yes, Greg (and his crew, Charlie, Jack, that Justy-girl person, Steve, John, Betsey, Eric, and the rest!) did a great job. He needs to lay down the law with re-enactor leaders about when to start a battle though :).

To clarify that comment, Chris was trying to get the Mustang up to provide top cover. First the half-track guys left the loose plywood on the taxiway, which we ran out and moved, and then the Americans "engaged" the enemy while Chris was still down at the end of 36 waiting for civilian arrivals to clear. By the time he took off, the Germans had surrendered. Ooops! I guess it'd be legit to say that the threat of a Mustang over-head was enough to push the Allied forces to victory.

Overall, I'd give this event a 95 out of 100.

Thank you for the kudos on running the Airshow portion of the event. No real disagreements or problems at all with the tower. The airport still needs to be able to function with the tenants that are there - thus the need to "accept" some arrivals and departures during the show. I was aware of them and just needed to work with the tower to get them in and out between acts. I receive a list of them each day. The only "problem" we had Rich eluded to was with the Main Battle and not having communications with the Allied Forces on when to start. I had comm with the German troops but the Americans jumped the gun before I could get the two modern aircraft on the ground and the P-51, L-3 and Storch in the air. Oh well, the Americans still won! We will have that problem corrected for next year's show!

Greg the smooth, calm and prepared!

I need to give supreme recognition to our fantastic tug crew for a job well done. We started the weekend with two tugs and by Friday evening we were down to 1 with the other tug inoperable due to a blown seal. (No Steve Carter, not the kind of Seal that swims either). They hussled their butts off to be able to give me the aircraft that I needed when I needed them to keep the show running smoothly and without too much dead time and gaps. With the unique way our event is created we have to move most of the larger and heavier aircraft with tugs and can't push them out by hand to fly. this makes having a great tug crew imperative and we had just that this year at our event.

I also need to thank our marshalling crew and safety crews as well for a job well done.

Thanks again and we will see you next year for our 20th Annual WWII Weekend!!

Greg...I would have sworn that I heard some background chatter to the effect of "Don't pi$$ 'em off" and "Can I have my airport back, now?" Maybe out of context I'm reading more into those than they deserve.
