This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

You mean these?

They flew directly over my place, inbound for MAF, with a T-34 in very loose trail.
Gary
That be them, did they come up from Houston??

It would indeed mean that! I heard this noise and looked out the workplace window and there she was going directly over! We are on the direct flightpath for 17-35 at Hobby.
That was just slightly before noon. Definitely made my day knowing all the hard work the guys involved have put into her.

The two VH-53D Sea Stallion's just thundered into Ellington a few minutes ago. Who's in town, or who's on the way?

I'm guessing Bush 41 because a TFR was put up for Houston and College Station and annouced via e-mail from the FAA earlier.

Regards the VH-53s, there were 4-5. They use call sign Nighthawk, not Bush 41, but Obama 44. He's going to the Bush Library at CLL. They are staging out of EFD. The Secret Service is doing there usual job, and the Marines have taken over the 147th RW hangar as of today.

I saw two jet warbirds flying formation today over High Point, NC. About 2:20 p.m. local time. They had underwing hardpoints carrying stuff. Single engine jets. Painted light grey or maybe natural metal. It was overcast. They were too far away for me to make a positive ID without my glasses. My first impression was that they "looked like" Hawker Hunters. Anybody know what they might have been?

Saw the Pitcairn PA-8 Mailwing fly at Trenton-Robbinsville today.
Why is it that every time I go to the airport without my camera I see something cool?
