Maybe it's time to invent a banner-towing rig for a P-39 and then you could sell banner advertising time!

I'll certainly be there, as I have been every year of OSH except 1978. I was in school at North Central Airlines that week and couldn't get away. I was at the Rockford, ILL event for the 3 years prior to it moving to OSH. I work out of the WARBIRD Judges office, and am either in there or out taking photos.

At least one of the DC-3's coming to Oshkosh as part of the mass gathering is a "Super DC-3"/R4D-8/C-117D.

http://www.thelasttime.org/attending.htm

N44GH is registered to "Flight Data Inc." in Carson City, NV and served as an R4D-8 support aircraft for the Blue Angels in the early to mid-50's and later as an R4D-8/C-117D support aircraft for various Naval entities before being retired. It has been registered under different N numbers with various owners.

It will be great to have one of these unique Wright powered (two 1,475 HP engines) models in the mix with the DC-2 and all the DC-3/C-47, etc. types.

DITTO!!! I saw them jump at Thunder Over Michigan in 2008, and they were in a word...AWESOME! My oldest son Wyatt was 6 at the time, and we were sitting right up against the orange snow fence watching them land. Afterwards they walked the show line and one of them stopped by my son and cut of a piece of his parachute and handed it over the fence to him. He wore it like a neckerchief the rest of the show and still treasures it today. Superb bunch of guys!

Does anyone have a lead on housing? If the Yellow Rose is going to make the trip, I need a place for the ten crew members.

Still in the planning stages...
