This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Maybe next time!

Heheeeeee,
I guess you didn't know. If T28 is said three times on WIX, "KLABOOOM", I suddenly appear, ready to argue.
Whats there to argue about T28's.....

You're right! It's the best airplane ever made. There's no arguing that!

HAHA...ok so maybe that didnt come out right... Are you the two seater Spitfire guy of the T28's ???

Sorry, OP --
I'm just not a T-28 fan.......sacreligious as that may seem. I'll stick with the T-6.

Am I like Bill? Hmmmmm, lets see, yep, exactly, except
1. My teeth are all straight and I don't like drinking warm beer, So I am not culturally disposed to liking spitfires or any other non-NAA products.
2. Two seats are cool, but that mother is so fugly that the earth repels it.
3. Merlins are cool, especially if your looking to up the number of dead stick landings in the ole logbook.
Other than that, exactly....

Ah memories of great planes and people past I just about get sick when I pick up Nigel Moll's Past Present and Future Perfect, about the 86 Harlingen Airsho as I did yesterday. I'm greatful to have a book of the only show I went to there, but I can barely look at it now. So much is now gone. The PBY Gary just got was looking so good at that show. Just makes me ill.

Here’s a picture from the 80s:
Look at that fool propping a 450 Stearman!
Probably just trying to impress the girl behind the counter at the FBO.

Replies: Paul, sorry to hear you are so into that air cond; I was looking for someone to help ferry my plane. Rick, don't think I even mentioned the Spitfire. The young lady wrote that she was new to Warbirds and I was just trying to give her an unbiased overview and summary. She obviously had good taste when she picked the 51 as a favorite. After all, what is a 51 but a generic Spitfire? It has the engine(almost) just not the wing. Beachgirl, any honest warbird guy respects a T-6, strong ,durable, and a great trainer. Scott, wish warbirds were like navals, then everyone would have one. Eric, that photo reminds me of the Davy Crockett coonskin hat I used to have, or does lycanthropy run in your family?

Bill,
Since it's winter and air conditioning isn't a player, I could make an exception. Does a Spit roll the same direction as the aileron inputs or is backwards like many things from the kingdom? It's ok if does, I'd just like to know so I don't look silly.
Here for your ferry,
Paul
